A genuinely exciting position within clinical research is now available with one of the world leaders in drug research and development. My client is looking for an experienced Clinical Research Associate, who will take responsibility for the set-up, monitoring and close-out of early phase (Phase I / IIa and Investigator Initiated) clinical studies.
THE ROLE:
The successful candidate will assume responsibility for monitoring phase I studies and current phase II clinical studies in metabolic function and / or inflammation programmes.
The company offers this role to individuals seeking to work within a dynamic leading edge research environment. In addition to supporting the Clinical Project Managers, the successful candidate will also be part of a wider Early Phase Development Team within the CRI, will be expected to work with other preclinical and clinical members of the team to assist with the execution of a variety of studies thereby allowing the translation of products from the preclinical phase smoothly into early phase clinical development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Life Sciences Degree or nursing qualification.
•With a minimum of 2 years Clinical Monitoring / CRA experience in either a CRO or pharmaceutical company
•Must be able to provide both operational support to CPMs and input to clinical trials processes.
•Experience in Phase I / IIa clinical study management would be beneficial
•Experience in metabolic or inflammation studies would be beneficial.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be required as solid, productive relationships will need to be built and maintained with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority
•Must be a self-starter, comfortable working independently and being empowered to make decisions with guidance from the CPM.
